Chapter Fourteen – Betrayal

A mixture of fantasy and reality merged together in my dreams to form their own reality even if it was only in my mind. She was standing in front of me wearing a small black and white bikini that tied on either side of her waist. I just laid there on that giant king sized bed watching her put on her make up in the little corner mirror. I snapped a picture with me camera and as she turned around I snickered and commented that I wanted to make a keep sake of this moment because every day was perfect with her. She rolled her eyes as she looked back and commented that she has a perfect peach shaped ass. It occurred to me that I was not the only one who thought she was flawless so did she.

Suddenly I Maria replaced her wearing that same black and white bathing suit only she walked over to the bed and sat in my legs as she kissed me. I could feel my whole body go numb with just that kiss. I thought that it was not the same as Stacey’s, but it still had that magic. She laid her head on my chest and even those shallow breaths made me quiver inside. I slowly inhaled the small of her. It was not a flowery smell, but the aroma of sweets and spices tied together and as I ran my hands up and down her back her skin felt like silk. There was a knock on the door and as she got up I grabbed her by the waist and said, “Let them wait we are on vacation”. Suddenly she was gone.

I opened my eyes to the sound of a knock on my door. I cursed under my breath as I got up to answer it. That was a perfect moment and whoever ruined it had better have a good reason I thought. As I opened the door I was surprised to see Maria and her mother standing at the door. For the past 3 days she had called and texted me about Camilla’s condition and even stopped by once, but now there was always this awkward silence between us. It felt the same as two lovers trying to be friends after a break up. One is just being polite while the other is trying to hide their emotional attachment with the hopes of getting back together again. That was me the one with the emotional attachment and I could not figure out why.

“Rayne, I am sorry to bother you so early, but we received a message that the doctor from the USA had arranged to see us here next week rather than waiting the 3 months”, Maria had this apologetic look in her eyes that seemed to glow with regret.

“Yes that is what is best for Camilla” I responded.

From out of nowhere her mother wrapped her arms around me saying, “You are a very good man” over and over in her thick accent.
